100th Anniversary Screamin' Eagle Road King
A 103 cubic-inch (1690cc) Twin Cam V-Twin is tuned to provide more than 100 ft lbs.
The heart of the 2003 Screamin' Eagle Road King is the engine, created by combining Screamin' Eagle Big Bore cylinders and a stroker flywheel and rod assembly to the standard Harley-Davidson Twin Cam 88 engine.
Bore and stroke grows from 3.75 x 4.00 inches to 3.87 x 4.37 inches, while displacement is boosted from 88 ci (1450cc) to 103 ci (1690cc). Compression is bumped up slightly, from 8.9:1 to 9.0:1. The standard EFI system is reprogrammed to match the increased displacement while retaining the crisp throttle response of the stock Twin Cam 88 EFI engine.
The drivetrain is reinforced with a high-performance hydraulically actuated clutch, a custom oil cooler and a high-strength final drive belt. The result is a motor that meets 50-state emissions and sound regulations yet pumps out 100 ft lbs. of arm-stretching
