nGoAbroad is a unique volunteer clearinghouse and referral service that custom-fits peoples' skills, interests and goals to humanitarian needs abroad.
nGoAbroad primarily (but not exclusively) links professionals to grassroots organizations thus enabling:
--Social workers to aid refugees, help establish domestic violence shelters and prevent child abuse and the trafficking of women.
--Therapists to counsel child soldiers and rape victims.
--Midwives to prevent women from dying in childbirth.
--Nurses, doctors, pharmacists, occupational and physical therapists to build medical infrastructures and treat amputees and mine victims.
--Small business owners to mentor new entrepreneurs.
--Accountants and bookkeepers to help set-up micro-loans.
--Builders to construct schools, clinics and water lines.
